User Terms
These User Terms apply to individual users who access the Allbee Cloud dashboard. They do not replace any separate customer agreement, service agreement, data-processing agreement, support agreement, or order form between Allbee and the organisation that uses the Service.
These User Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Allbee Cloud web application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Allbee (the "Provider", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, or by signing in through a third-party identity provider, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Allbee Cloud is a cloud dashboard and management console for lighting control, building automation, and connected on-premise gateways. The Service may provide remote monitoring, remote access to authorised gateways, energy reporting, occupancy reporting, alerts, issue tracking, device status, and cloud synchronisation for authorised buildings and organisations.
The exact features available to you depend on the configuration, gateways, devices, permissions, and subscription or agreement of the organisation that has invited you to use the Service.
2. Relationship with your organisation
You access the Service as a user of an organisation, such as an installer, building owner, facility manager, service partner, or other authorised party. That organisation is responsible for deciding who may access its buildings, gateways, reports, alerts, and device data.
If your organisation has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement governs the organisation's use of the Service. These Terms govern your individual access to the dashboard. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement with the organisation, the separate written agreement applies to the organisation's use of the Service.
3. Accounts and sign-in
- Access to the Service is by invitation. An administrator creates your account and grants you access to the buildings, gateways, organisations, and features you may use.
- You may sign in with a password or, where enabled, with a third-party identity provider such as Microsoft or Google via single sign-on (SSO).
- When you use SSO, we link your provider identity to your existing invited Allbee account. We do not create new accounts from SSO alone.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify your administrator immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.
- You must not share your account with another person or allow others to use your access rights.
4. Access permissions
Your access is limited to the buildings, gateways, reports, alerts, organisations, and functions assigned to your account. You may only view, export, change, or control data and systems that you are authorised to use.
Administrators may add, change, or remove your permissions at any time. We may also suspend or restrict access where needed to protect the Service, the connected systems, other users, or to comply with law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- attempt to access buildings, gateways, reports, data, accounts, or systems that you are not authorised to use;
- interfere with the operation, availability, or security of the Service or connected systems;
- try to bypass authentication, permissions, rate limits, logging, or security controls;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the Service except where permitted by law;
- use the Service in a way that violates applicable law, the rights of others, or the instructions of the organisation that granted you access;
- upload, transmit, or introduce malicious code, unauthorised scripts, or harmful content.
6. Customer, gateway, and device data
The Service processes operational data from connected gateways and devices. This may include sensor readings, energy measurements, occupancy events, lighting-control events, device status, gateway status, alerts, issue reports, and related technical data.
Where this data is processed on behalf of an organisation, that organisation is responsible for determining the lawful basis for the processing, for informing its users and building occupants where required, and for managing who has access to the data.
We may also process account, authentication, security, usage, and support data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where required, separate data-processing terms between Allbee and the relevant organisation apply.
7. Reports, alerts, and exported data
The Service may generate energy reports, occupancy reports, alerts, issue lists, dashboards, exports, or other operational information based on data received from connected gateways and devices.
Reports and alerts are provided for operational insight and support. They may depend on device availability, sensor accuracy, gateway connectivity, configuration, time synchronisation, and data completeness. You are responsible for checking whether reports, alerts, exports, or dashboard data are suitable for your intended use before relying on them for decisions, compliance, billing, or reporting to third parties.
If you export or share data from the Service, you are responsible for using that data lawfully and in accordance with your organisation's policies.
8. Remote access and connected systems
The Service may allow authorised users to remotely access, monitor, configure, or control on-premise gateways and connected lighting or automation systems. You must use these functions carefully and only within the scope of your role and permissions.
Changes made through the Service may affect real buildings, gateways, devices, lighting behaviour, automation rules, alerts, reports, and users on site. You are responsible for checking changes before applying them and for coordinating with the relevant organisation, installer, or site contact where needed.
The Service is not intended to be the sole means of operating safety-critical, emergency, or legally required building systems unless this has been expressly agreed in writing with the relevant organisation.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat. Planned maintenance, updates, internet outages, gateway connectivity issues, identity-provider outages, or other circumstances may cause temporary unavailability.
Temporary unavailability of the cloud Service may affect remote access, dashboards, reports, alerts, issue tracking, synchronisation, or notifications. Local gateway operation may continue depending on the installed configuration, network availability, and device setup.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, documentation, interfaces, dashboards, reports, and content, is owned by the Provider or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service except the limited right to use it as described here.
11. Third-party services
The Service may rely on or connect with third-party services, such as identity providers, hosting providers, email providers, infrastructure providers, or services selected by your organisation. Your use of those third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Suspension and termination
Your access may be suspended or terminated by your administrator at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where needed to protect the Service, connected systems, other users, customer data, or to comply with law.
After your access ends, you may no longer use the Service or access the relevant organisation's buildings, gateways, reports, alerts, or data. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable to individual users for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business, or loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Any liability we may have to the organisation that granted you access is governed by the separate agreement with that organisation, if applicable.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify the organisation or affected users, for example by email, in-app notice, or through an administrator. The updated "Last updated" date on this page shows when the Terms were last changed.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
